Program and conference info
The aim of this two-day workshop is to bring together researchers working on topics in information frictions in macroeconomics to present and discuss their ongoing research. We invite submissions of both empirical and theoretical papers related to asymmetric information, news and noise, uncertainty, learning, or sentiments with a focus on the analysis of business cycles.
Two keynote speeches will be offered by Bartosz Mackowiak (European Central Bank) and Laura Veldkamp (Stern School of Business, New York University).
The workshop will start on Monday June 26th at 9.00am and will finish on Tuesday June 27th at 1.00pm. It will take place at the Hotel du Golf, Villars-sur-Ollon (2 hours by train from Geneva airport) in the beautiful Swiss Alps. The conference organizers will cover lunches, the conference dinner, and hotel accommodations for all participants. Limited funding for travels is also available upon request.
We plan to include 8 papers with discussants on the program. Please indicate at the time of submission whether you would be willing to act as a discussant and whether you will require travel funding. Submission can be sent to NAIFworkshop@gmail.com before the 31 March 2017. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by 10 April 2017.
