I received my PhD from the University of Texas at Austin in 2009. I spent a year from 2009 to 2010 as Max Weber Fellow at the European University Institute. Then I joined the Central Bank of Turkey. I worked as an economist at the Research and Monetary Policy Department from 2010 to 2012, and at the Istanbul School of Central Banking from 2013 to 2017.
