The main goal of this book is to further develop the dialogue between gender and public policy studies. The so-called politics of gender, which often regulate the intimate sphere, constitute a promising opportunity to better understand why and how gender roles are regulated through public policies. The book includes chapters on the gender dynamics in various policy sectors such as education, security, reproduction and same-sex couples.
