
Jernej Letnar Černič is a Max Weber Postdoctoral Fellow at the European University Institute. Jernej graduated from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 2002 and received my LL.M. in International Human Rights Law with distinction from the University of Lund. Jernej holds a Diploma in Human Rights Law from the Academy of European Law, European University Institute, and Diplome de droit international et de Droit compare des Droits de l'Homme from the International Institut René Cassin of Human Rights in Strasbourg. He completed his Ph.D. on Corporate responsibility for fundamental human rights in 2009 at the School of Law, University of Aberdeen, Scotland.
Jernej has worked in the European Ombudsman Office, Superior Court of the Republic of Slovenia, Law Institute in Ljubljana, the International Criminal Court, and taught tutorials and LL.M seminars at the University of Aberdeen and LL.M seminars at University of Lund. He is fluent in seven languages and has written a number of articles and research studies in Slovene, English and Swedish on human rights law, international law, European Law and human rights and business. Jernej is a member of the International Human Rights Committee of the International Law Association.
